Health Surveillance Medicals
Systematic, regular and appropriate proceduresHealth surveillance is about putting in place systematic, regular and appropriate procedures to detect early signs of work-related ill health among employees exposed to certain health risks and acting on the results.
Soma works extremely closely with our clients to develop, implement and maintain a targeted, appropriate and proportionate health surveillance programme for their organisation.
Initially we work alongside you to compile a health surveillance matrix. This matrix is based on the companies own risk assessments and environmental monitoring results. These are correlated with the corresponding regulations to ensure that the programme offered is targeted and appropriate. The matrix identifies the assessment types and the time needed to conduct them per job role. Following this, a health surveillance list is compiled that identifies all employees entering the surveillance programme, their roles, assessment types, assessment and recall dates. We believe this initial piece of work is crucial. It forms the basis of the service, establishing a robust programme and enables efficient clinic and recall management.
